Special Education CSU Tuition Waiver

Contact Person: Chairperson of Graduate Programs in Education Department, Education Bldg. 319, 773-995-2086.

Individuals seeking a MSED degree in Special Education for initial or certified teachers are eligible for this waiver.

The award covers up to 10 credits per term and may cover fees. The awards are renewable for up to two years pending available funding and satisfactory progress towards degree.


  • Graduate student, holds at least a BS/BA degree
  • Be admitted to the MSED Special Education Program or permission of chairperson
  • Maintain 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrate ability to perform activities related to discipline and maintain criteria for award
