The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) provides tutoring for a variety of disciplines. Tutoring is available to students either through walking into the Center for assistance or scheduling an appointment online. Each option is described below.
The preferred method for tutoring and assistance is through appointments. Here you can select the time that works best for you and be guaranteed that a tutor will be available in the area needed. All tutoring will be conducted on the fourth floor of the Academic Library in room 450.
- Accounting – Levels I and II
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Arabic (all levels)
- Chemistry (General and Organic)
- Creative Writing
- English Composition
- Math (all levels)
- Mathematics Statistics
- Nelson-Denny Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension
- Political Science
- Research Methods
- Spanish – Levels I
To schedule an appointment, please use the www.csu.askonline.net system to locate the time and tutor that will work best for you. Through this system, you can schedule appointments and manage your appointments.
Please note, once you schedule an appointment you are responsible for keeping the appointment. Should a conflict arise, you will need to cancel the appointment as soon as possible. Appointments not canceled within two hours of the start of the session, will be considered a missed appointment. If you accrue two missed appointments in an academic year, you will lose your ability to schedule tutoring appointments and must rely solely on walk-in options.
You are always welcome to stop by the Learning Assistance for assistance. During the hours listed below, the LAC will have tutors available to assist you. However, please note this service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. When you walk-in, you may have to wait before seeing a tutor.
Monday through Thrusday - 9 am to 9 pm
Friday - 9 am to 4 pm
Saturday - 9 am to 1 pm
Sunday - 2 pm to 6 pm
Note: Last session is taken 30 minutes before closing.
