The interest group of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. was established in the fall 2015. They were first recognized as Success, Leadership and Brotherhood (S.L.B. Society). The S.L.B. Society members adhered to the beliefs of further nurturing the dynamic of interested male students through leadership development, academic success, and networking. The S.L.B. Society bases its beliefs through the adopted principles of the Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity.
On April 15, 2016, the interest group transitioned into Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. The interest group of the S.L.B. Society is now recognized as the Founders of Sigma Lambda Beta at Chicago State University. The founding members are Andrew Huff, Jonathan Navarro, Albert Regalado, and Isaac Rodriguez. Sigma Lambda Beta is committed to its principles of brotherhood, community service, cultural awareness, and scholarship.
