At Chicago State University, a student's overall experience is enhanced by the numerous Greek letter organizations that call this campus home. Through various programs and events, these fraternities and sororities promote excellence in areas such as scholarship, leadership development, student involvement, and community service.
In addition to maintaining full compliance with the policies and guidelines set forth by each respective organizations' national governing body, all fraternities and sororities and their members must adhere to the policies and guidelines set forth by Chicago State University's Office of Student Activities to be recognized as "active" on the campus.
Contact the Office of Student Activities (773) 995-2300 and ask about the next "All Greek Informational" event. The All Greek Informational event features active members of the various Greek letter organizations. We encourage you to visit the organizations' tables to meet the representatives and receive general information about the organization.
Also, the organizations' members assemble in a panel format to give brief overviews of their fraternity/sorority, basic membership requirements, and to answer any additional questions you may have. These events provide a great opportunity for interested students to learn about each Greek letter organization and find the one that suits their personal values and interests.
