Ethics Office

The mission of the Ethics Office is to ensure that all University employees are compliant with the State Ethics laws. To train University employees regarding appropriate ethical conduct. To create an ethical work environment. To facilitate cooperation in the implementation of the requirements of the State Ethics laws through training and a partnership with other University stake holders. The Ethics Office is committed to creating an ethical University environment.

The Function of CSU’s Ethics Office is to facilitate the university’s compliance with the State Officials and Employees Act. The Ethics Office acts as a liaison for the channeling of allegations of fraud, waste, and abuses, as delineated in the State Officials and Employees Act. The Ethics Office is also responsible for conducting the University’s Annual Ethics Training, reviewing Statements of Economic Interest filed by University employees, providing guidance to senior officers and employees in the interpretation of the Ethics Act and serving as the University liaison to the State of Illinois Office of Inspector General and the Executive Ethics Commission.
