FEMALES are not required to register with the Selective Service System. If you are
a female and have been directed to this web page because there is a question on your
SAR (Student Aid Report) regarding your compliance with the registration law it is
because you neglected to identify yourself as a female on your FAFSA. This is a common
occurrence and can be easily rectified. The easiest way to correct this oversight
is for you to go on-line to the FAFSA web site and answer the gender question. You will need your U.S. Department of Education
PIN in order to do so. If you do not have a PIN you may download the "I am a female and not required to register with Selective Service System (.pdf)" form from our web site Simply fill out the form and submit it to our office. We
will amend your SAR for you to indicate that you are a female.
