The Presidential Scholars Program recruits academically talented students who have demonstrated leadership ability, maintained a 3.35 cumulative grade point average and an ACT score of 20 and higher. A limited number of tuition awards are available to incoming freshman. Awards are also available to sophomores, juniors and college transfer students. Student’s must be seeking their first–time bachelor’s degree and enrolled in the university as a full–time student. Applicants are required to apply for state and federal financial aid, but financial need is not a requirement for receipt of this award.
The Presidential Scholars Program provides a caring and supportive environment that encourages academic leadership and professional development. Students in the Presidential Scholars Program are committed to academic excellence and participate in a variety of enrichment opportunities.
Presidential Scholars must volunteer 30 hours of community service each semester, attend monthly academic, professional and cultural workshops or seminars and participate in Presidential Scholar’s meetings each semester.
