CSU Students Lobby at State Capitol

CSU students, including representatives from the Honors College, Latino Resource Center, SGA and other student organizations, visited the State Capitol in Springfield recently to communicate the importance of funding for public universities like CSU and show the impact that our university has in Chicago and throughout Illinois. 

The students were joined by President Watson and had the opportunity to meet with Secretary of State Jesse White as well individual lawmakers like Senator Emil Jones III. By seeing firsthand the quality students that CSU is educating, legislators get a better sense of the importance of the university and why adequate state funding is necessary to continue our mission of providing a transformative educational experience to all.
