Chicago State Instructor and Radio Legend Dies at 88

CHICAGO- Former Professor Herb Kent passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016.  Affectionately known as the Cool Gent, Herb taught at Chicago State University for over a decade.   “Herb Kent will be missed,” said Interim President Cecil Lucy.   “His knowledge of radio broadcasting and joyful personality made a true impact on our students and alumni.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Herb’s family and friends.”
