International Students

Instructions for International Students

Students who have completed coursework at a college or university outside of the United States or Canada must complete at least 30 hours of their prerequisite course work including 15 semester hours in the sciences, at a regionally accredited United States college or university before being eligible to enter Chicago State University College of Pharmacy.

If you attended a college or university outside the United States or Canada, you must submit an official, detailed course-by-course evaluation of this work.  You must obtain an evaluation from one of the following services: 

International applicants must also submit an official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score report. A minimum score of 525 paper-based, 195 computer-based or 69 internet based is required. The TOEFL is not required for applicants from those countries where English is the only official language.

Applicants who have completed a minimum of 24 semester or 36 quarter hours of post-secondary level work from an accredited U. S. college/university are not required to submit TOEFL scores.

International applicants must also submit a completed Financial Statement for International Students and a completed Certificate of Sponsorship. In addition, International applicants must furnish evidence, in the form of a "verification of funds letter" from a bank or an employer, indicating that money (amount in U.S. dollars) is available to meet the financial needs of the student.
