File your Free FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) after October 1st. Funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so file ASAP (U.S. citizens and permanent residents only).
Have you applied for financial aid?
Priority consideration for merit-based scholarships is based upon completing the FAFSA by February 1st.

It is necessary for you to attend orientation prior to starting school and we encourage your parents to also attend. Orientation provides critical information about your educational career at CSU, including registering for courses, paying your bill, submitting required forms, ordering textbooks, and more.
All newly admitted freshman students are required to take the placement exams. Placement exams should be taken upon being admitted to the university or as soon thereafter (If applicable).
The Office of Examinations runs the Examinations Testing Lab in the Gwendolyn Brooks Library, Room 144. At the Examinations Testing Lab, new and current students can take placement exams as part of getting started with registration for required English composition and Math courses. Tests are offered virtually and on campus by appointment only. You are encouraged to arrive no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled test time. For virtual testing, you must have a computer or laptop with a working camera

Newly admitted freshmen are required to provide their final Official High School transcript with school seal and graduation to the Office of Admissions.

If you attended a community college or earned college credits during high school, please have them send an official transcript to the Undergraduate Admissions Office by July 1.

Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate credit is generally accepted if you meet the required minimum score for each exam. Detailed information on each of these credits may be found here.

Students can view transfer credit details on CSU X-PRESS via by navigating to the Student channel.
Coursework will only be evaluated after your official transcripts from each institution attended and/or scores have been received by the Office of Evaluations.
If currently enrolled and your transfer credits are not visible, please contact the Office of Evaluations immediately. Please allow our office 3 weeks to fully enter all transfer credit.
Immunizations are a state law requirement and failure to comply will result in academic withdrawal. Prior to registration, you are required to provide proof of immunization compliance. All enrolled students who attend classes on campus must provide documentation of immunizations.
