Program Accreditation

The College of Education at Chicago State University has the distinction of being accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) since NCATE’s inception in 1954.

The Elementary Education Programs are nationally recognized by the Association for Childhood Education International, and meet the Illinois State Board of Education standards. The Elementary School Program Middle School Option is accredited by the Association for Middle Level Education and our Graduate Reading program has Nationally Recognition.

Chicago State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
