Field Placement Policies During the Covid-19 Semester

The Office of Licensure functions as a central source of information about Illinois educator licensure regulations and requirements. The mission of the Office of Licensure is to assist all Illinois public school educators and prospective educators to obtain and maintain standard licensure and endorsements and to implement licensure guidelines set by the Illinois State Board of Education. The Educator Licensure Office website provides clear and useful informationfor students preparing for licensure as teachers, administrators, and school counselors.

The Community Outreach & Field Placement Office is responsible for student teaching and practicum placements for the College of Education. The Office collaborates with academic faculty, public/private schools andcommunity partners to locate authentic, rich, engaging and diversehands-on experiences for all teacher candidates in the College of Education.

These Offices provide support for students before, during and after their field/clinical experiences and their licensure and endorsement needs.
