Mental Health Emergencies
In the event of a personal emergency during normal working hours, you may call Counseling Center at 773-995-2383 or come in person to Cordell Reed Student Union Building (CRSU) Suite 190 and state the nature of the emergency to the administrative assistant. Daily between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 p.m. One of the psychologists will consult with you immediately to determine what action the crisis requires. After hours, you may call the Campus Police at 1-773-995-2111 if you are on campus or 911 if you are off campus.
In emergency situations involving another student who is unwilling or unable to seek help on his/her own, faculty, staff, students or family members may call the Counseling Center at 773-995-2383, or walk the student over Cordell Reed Student Union Building (CRSU) Suite 190 and/or notify Campus Police at 773-995-2111, if the student needs to be hospitalized or restrained.
