CSU PREP Program Scores Awards at National Engineering Conference

The Chicago State University Pre-Freshman Program in Engineering and Science (PREP) recently traveled to Indianapolis to participate in the 39th Annual convention of the National Society of Black Engineers.

CSU PREP members participated in a number of engineering and mathematical-based competitions, and made CSU proud by bringing home a number of honors and recognitions, including:

    Graphic Design

    Engineering Design Competition
  • 2nd Place NSCAR Ten80
    Race Event
  • 2nd Place NSCAR Ten80
    Final Competition
  • 1st Place Mathcounts Competition
  • 1st Place Mathcounts
    Overall Score in the Individual Score in the Math competition – Cameron Davis
  • 1st Place Mathcounts Competition
    Overall Score in the Lightening Round – Jamal Riley
  • 3rd place iDesign Competition High School

The PREP Program is designed to make students aware, at an early age, of the professional opportunities in engineering and to convince students to take more mathematics and science as a part of their high school course load.
