Summer Bridge to Business and Entrepreneurship

Summer Bridge to Business and Entrepreneurship is a four-week fully online program for high school students, from rising sophomores to seniors, who are interested in gaining first-hand exposure to key elements of business and successful entrepreneurship.  Taught by Chicago State University faculty and successful business leaders from a variety of different industries, students will be introduced to entrepreneurial finance, management strategy, marketing, accounting, and how to develop a business plan.  As part of a final project, students will work in teams to identify and address real business challenges resulting from the COVID-19 public health crisis.

NEW! This summer, students in the program will participate in virtual site visits and meetings with leading Chicago companies in finance, technology, and service sectors. Virtual tours of Chicago-based incubators and accelerators will give students a closer look at how individual ideas can become start-up ventures.
