Dr. Jane Stout
Director, Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Research, and Data Analytics
Jane Stout earned her Ph.D. in social psychology, with a concentration in quantitative methods, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2011. From 2011-2013, Dr. Stout studied gender disparities in the physical sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she served as a postdoctoral fellow. During 2013-2018, Dr. Stout directed research and evaluation at the Computing Research Association, a non-profit in Washington D.C.; her team studied underrepresented students’ experiences earning technical degrees in higher education. Dr. Stout has published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, obtained more than a million dollars in grant funding for her research, and has earned several awards for her work. From 2018-2020, Dr. Stout earned a certificate in data science and worked in the private sector as a data analytics lead. In 2020, Dr. Stout joined CSU as Assistant Director of Data Analytics and began directing the Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Research in 2021. |
