Research

I am trained as a Developmental Psychologist. My research focuses on the development of romantic partnerships of educated Black women and how this development shapes and impacts their overall well being and health. I am interested in understanding how culture impacts mental health, physical health, and other various health outcomes. Additionally, I am licensed as a mental health counselor in the state of Illinois. Mental health outcomes of marginalized people groups is something that interests me and you will find that theme in most of my research. I truly enjoy mentoring students and collaborating with students in my research.
