June 1 - August 7 (All Sessions)

NOTE: Students will not be able to drop the last class online resulting in a full withdrawal with zero (0) credit hours of enrollment after May 22, 2021. Students must submit the “Complete Withdrawal Form” online, located on the “student” tab of Cougar Connect by the Withdrawal deadline. Students must also participate in a short exit interview with a Financial Aid Advisor.

Failure to read information listed in Chicago State University's catalogs or website does not negate adherence to required academic regulations.

April 2021
19	Summer 2021 Priority registration begins for Regular Session (16-weeks) Special Session (12-weeks) Enrollment opens for payment plans. Please visit Bursar’s page for more information.
May 2021
1-31	Summer 2021 Registration continues (Payment due Friday, May 28 or upon registration).
27	Summer 2021 registration will close and will resume Friday, May 28.
28	Verified Payment Source due (This is how you plan to pay for tuition and fees for the semester). For questions, please email bursar@csu.edu). Payment due in Full (all Summer sessions).
31	Memorial Day Holiday no classes. Last day to register for classes beginning the week of May 31(Payment due at time of registration).
June 2021
1	First 5-week classes begin (June 1 – July 3). 10-week classes begin (June 1 – August 7).
1-2	Late Registration Period. Students must email or submit an Add-Drop Form to the Office of the Registrar (CSU-Registrar@csu.edu or ADM 128).
3	Last drop date for first 5-week course (June 1 – July 3) or submit a Complete Withdrawal request for first 5-week coursework—located on the “student” tab of Cougar Connect—from all courses online for 100% reversal of tuition and refundable fees.
4	First E-Bill posted for Summer 2021. Subsequent E-Bills will be sent monthly.
6	Last drop date for a 10-week course (June 1 – August 7) or submit a Complete Withdrawal request for ten-week coursework—located on the “student” tab of Cougar Connect—from all courses online for 100% reversal of tuition and refundable fees. Last drop date to to Completely Withdraw from the first 5-week session and receive a 50% reversal of tuition and fees (note: this only applies for Complete Withdrawals, not when dropping individual classes).
12	Last complete withdrawal date from the Summer (10-week) session and receive a 50% reversal of tuition and fees (note: this only applies for Complete Withdrawals, not when dropping individual classes).
16	Holds are placed on students’ accounts for Past Due Balances.
21	Last complete withdrawal date from a first 5-week course or submit a complete withdrawal request from all first 5-week courses (June 1 – July 3) online with a grade of W on transcript. Charges are not reversed.
25	Deadline to submit a graduate graduation applications and GAPP form to Graduate and Professional Studies Office (ADM 129) for August 2021 degree conferment. Deadline to submit an undergraduate graduation application online for August 2021 degree conferment.
July 2021
Jul 1	Summer 2021 registration will close and will resume Friday, July 2.
2	Graduate Students: deadline to submit approved thesis/dissertation to ProQuest.
3	Last class day for the first 5-week session.
5	Last day to register for classes starting the week of July 5. Payment is due at time of registration. Independence Holiday – no classes.
6	Second 5-week classes begin (July 6 – August 7).
8	Last drop day for a second 5-week course (July 6 – August 7) or submit a Complete Withdrawal request for second 5-week coursework—located on the “student” tab of Cougar Connect—from all courses online for 100% reversal of tuition and refundable fees.
11	Last complete withdrawal date from the second 5-week session and receive a 50% reversal of tuition and fees. Note: this only applies for Complete Withdrawals, not when dropping individual classes.)
12	Last withdraw date from a Summer 10-week course or submit a complete withdrawal request from all 10-week courses (June 1 – August 7) online with a grade of W on the transcript. Charges are not reversed.
26	Last withdraw date from a second 5-week course or submit a complete withdrawal request from all second 5-week courses (July 6 – August 7) online with a grade of W on the transcript. Charges are not reversed.
August 2021
7	Summer 2021 classes & session end.
10	Faculty deadline to submit final grades for Summer 2021 in Cougar Connect via CSU X-Press. Faculty must send completed form to CSU-Registrar@csu.edu. Faculty deadline to submit an Incomplete contract "I grade" for Summer 2021. Faculty must send completed form to CSU-Registrar@csu.edu.
13	Summer 2021 final grades are available in CSU X-Press. Summer 2021 degree begin posting and will be available in CSU X-Press.
