Following is an ever changing listing of scholarship opportunities. You are encouraged to check back frequently for the latest postings. Should you find a scholarship through this web page that you wish to pursue please closely follow the directions of the grantor of that scholarship to ensure the timely processing of your application.

Illinois Retired Teachers Association Foundation Scholarships - The Illinois Retired Teachers Association is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization of retired educators. The Association serves the needs and interests of its members through advocacy, education, cooperation and socialization in a flexible organizational structure.

Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program - The Thomas R. Pickering (Undergraduate and Graduate) Foreign Affairs Fellowship program provides funding to participants as they are prepared academically and professionally to enter the United States Department of State Foreign Service.

Gateways to Opportunity Scholarship Program - The Gateways to Opportunity Scholarship Program is an individual-based scholarship opportunity for practitioners working in Early Care and Education (ECE).  Practitioners working in Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS) licensed centers and homes can apply for a Gateways Scholarship. 

Thurgood Marshall Fund - Since its inception in 1987 the Thurgood Marshall Fund has provided more than 6,000 students with scholarships.

United Negro College Fund - You can use this site to search thousands of scholarships and grants, many of which are administered by the United Negro College Fund (UNCF)

The Gates Millennium Scholars Program - The goal of GMS is to promote academic excellence and to provide an opportunity for outstanding minority students with significant significant financial need to reach their highest potential. GMS will select 1,000 talented students each year to receive a good-through-graduation scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice.

U.S. Bank Internet Scholarship Program - An internet based program awarding scholarships to high school seniors and college undergraduates.

AmeriCorps - Earn an education award in return for working to meet our country’s critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.

PUSH/Excel - Bridging the achievement gap by empowering students academically, socially, politically and economically

National Association of Black Accountants - Providing scholarship funds to deserving students preparing to enter various business professions

AICPA Scholarships for Minority Accounting Students - Scholarships to outstanding minority students

The George M. Pullman Educational Foundation - Scholarship programs, each designed to meet the needs of a specific group of college-bound students in Cook County

The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation - Awarding scholarships to students who plan to pursue careers in government or elsewhere in public service

The Ron Brown Scholar Program - Awarding scholarships to academically talented and highly motivated African American high school seniors

The Jackie Robinson Foundation - Awarding "four year college scholarships to academically gifted students of color"

National Institute of Health - For students pursuing a career in biomedical research

Government Finance Officers Association - The GFOA "encourages the pursuit of careers in government finance and management." Several scholarship opportunities are available.
