CSU prides itself on being a community beacon. One of the ways the University gives back to the community is by fostering leadership efforts like the Talented Tenth Summer Leadership Program. This phenomenal five-week long program beginning on July 6 and ending August 6. The cost is $250 for the first 30 students and runs Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 2:00pm
This year’s theme is Chicago Love: Activism and Media. The goal is to promote positivity in at risk communities, while teaching leadership and critical thinking skills through a unique curriculum. Students will study everything from martial arts to social media and many other exciting subjects. The students will also have the opportunity to be mentored by thought leaders in different fields. In addition, they will go on numerous field trips that support their studies on campus.
CSU is thrilled to be hosting this program for the fourth year. For an application for the Talented Tenth Summer Leadership Program contact Professor Kim Dulaney at readme4000@aol.com or (773) 995-2208.
