I chose CSU-COP because when I came to visit the college for more information on what I needed to apply, I felt welcomed, especially by the staff and current students. I also chose CSU-COP because of the location. Growing up on the south side of Chicago, I wanted to stay true to my roots. CSU was able to provide me with the opportunity to pursue a PharmD, when many students that grow up in unfortunate situations, like myself, think that there are no other options for students growing up in underserved communities.

With my PharmD, I want to serve underserved communities. I’ve experienced first hand what it is like to grow up in an underserved community or healthcare desert. With the knowledge and skills that I gain throughout my academic journey, I will be well prepared to serve those communities. I want underserved communities to see healthcare workers giving back to the community and  can relate to them and their situations.

My favorite hobbies are gardening and softball.
