Greetings!
Welcome to Graduate Advising in the Department of Psychology and Counseling. Our department prides itself on providing comprehensive, holistic advising to all graduate students in the program.
Upon admission students in our Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, Certificate in School Counseling, Alcohol and Other Drugs of Addiction (AODA) Post Baccalaureate and Graduates-At-Large programs are assigned to one of our Graduate advisors. Students maintain the same advisor as they matriculate through the program. Our goal is to support student success and ensure all students are fully informed regarding the requirements needed to graduate from our program.
Our Graduate Advisors for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling Programs are Drs. Shoshanah Yehudah and Latoya Patterson-Abrams. Their advising loads are assigned based on alphabetical order. Dr. Yehudah is assigned students with the last name beginning with the letter A-L and Dr. Patterson-Abrams is assigned students with the last name beginning with the letter M-Z. They each provide advising for class registration and degree planning.
Dr. Maryse Nazon is the advisor for the Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Alcohol and Other Drugs of Addiction.
**We encourage students to register early and to keep track of class needs to successfully navigate the program.**
