Research
My research interests have a key focus primarily in community, behavioral and child
psychology. My research concentrations are expansive and principally includes but
are not limited to community research and action, prevention, empowerment, establishing
collaborations, social justice reform, lowering health disparities in relation to
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in African Americans, and child and adult development across
the lifespan. Currently, a primary research goal of my team and I is to establish
a model reentry research program that will serve to support, empower, and prevent
the incarceration of as well as lower the recidivism rates for African Americans adults
(18 to 30 years of age) who are returning to communities in Chicago after incarceration
in the State of Illinois.
