Research
My research background is extensive. I have a heavy background in experimental methodology
and data analytics (e.g., machine learning). The bulk of my research experience lies
within human cognition where I studied top-down biasing in object recognition and
attention in both the real and virtual environments. More recently, I have studied
community psychology. Specifically, I study poorly understood chronic illnesses such
as myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and post-acute sequalae
COVID-19 syndrome (PACS). I study the epidemiology, physiology (e.g., immune markers),
and psychological factors of such illnesses. I also study the social network dynamics
of persons in a recovery home.
