Research
My teaching philosophy reflects my interests in collaborative authorship. She prefers
student-centered teaching that encourages learning by both students and teachers.
I find unique ways to enhance my classroom discussions by incorporating my experience
working with diverse populations and health disparities.
Dr. Garrett has developed and delivered several presentations in her areas of interest
including Trauma (specifically Intergenerational/Historical), Adverse Childhood Experiences
and Resilience, Child Welfare, Code-Switching, The Five Love Languages, Clinical Supervision,
and Compassion Fatigue.
