The 2024 IEEE Chicago 130th Annual Fair & Expo, held at the Illinois Institute of Technology on Saturday, October 12, 2024, was a significant event for professionals, engineers, faculty members, and students from across Illinois. The Department of Computing, Information and Mathematical Sciences, and Technology (CIMST) took part in this prestigious event by setting up a booth to represent the department’s programs and initiatives. From the CIMST department, Chairman Dr. Mohammad Abdus Salam, Prof. Rohan Attele, and several graduate students attended the fair. A key highlight was Dr. Salam's 2-minute pitch talk, where he had the opportunity to showcase the department’s programs, research, and recent accomplishments.
