On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, the Graduate School Open House was held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Student Union Building, Rotunda. This event, hosted by the Graduate School Office of Chicago State University, served as a platform for prospective graduate students to learn about the various academic opportunities available at the university.
The Department of Computing, Information and Mathematical Sciences, and Technology (CIMST) actively participated in the event by hosting an information session to showcase its four master’s degree programs: Master’s in computer science, Master’s in Library and Information Science, Master’s in Mathematics, and Master’s in Technology and Performance Improvement Studies. The session provided a comprehensive overview of these programs, emphasizing their unique offerings and career prospects.
Dr. Mohammad Abdus Salam, Chair of the CIMST Department, led the department's representation at the Open House. He was joined by faculty members Dr. Kapila Rohan Attele and Dr. Rae-Anne Montague, along with staff member Desiree Montgomery. Together, they engaged with prospective students, answering questions, sharing insights, and highlighting the department’s commitment to academic excellence and student success. The event was a valuable opportunity to connect with future graduate students and promote the innovative programs offered by the CIMST department.
