The IIT RTC Conference and Expo is a globally recognized collaborative event that bridges industry and academia. Each year, this international conference brings together software developers, network engineers, entrepreneurs, business executives, students, and educators to exchange innovative ideas and explore future developments in the rapidly evolving field of real-time communications.
This year’s conference was held at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) campus from October 7–8, 2025.

Under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Abdus Salam, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Computing, Information, Mathematical Sciences, and Technology (CIMST) at Chicago State University (CSU), five graduate students represented the department by presenting their research papers and posters. The participating students were Anees Fatimah, Amera Firdaus, Sheetal Kumar, Jyothi Lakshmi Nagaraj, and Mohammed Nashithuddin.

Their contributions showcased CSU’s growing research presence in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and real-time computing applications.

Dr. Salam also served as a panelist in a session titled “Quantum-Inspired Agentic Industrial Robots in Real-Time Applications,” alongside Dr. Biswan Senapati and Nikhila Yeturi. The discussion explored emerging innovations at the intersection of quantum computing and intelligent automation.

CSU’s active participation in this international event reflects the university’s continued commitment to advancing research, fostering industry collaboration, and empowering graduate students to engage with global experts in cutting-edge technological fields.
