Management Program

Program Assessment

1. General Education Requirements: 42 credit hours

  • Composition (9 credit hours); ENG 1270, ENG 1280 and ENG 2790
  • Foreign Language (6 credit hours): In a single foreign language
  • Humanities (12 credit hours): 3 hours in English (2790/279); 3 hours in CMAT (2030/203); 3 hours in Fine Arts; 3 hours in Diversity.
  • Mathematics (3 credit hours):MATH 1200/162 (also satisfies the critical thinking requirement).
  • Physical and Life Science (6 credit hours): 3 credit hours from biological sciences and 3 credit hours from physical sciences. At least one course must be with a laboratory.
  • Social Science (9 credit hours): ECON 1010/101, 1020/102, and one additional approved social science course

2. Business Core Courses (45 credit hours):

  • ACCT 2110/110, 2111/1111, 1290/290; FIN 2660/266; INSY 1370/137; MGMT 1030/103; QBA 1500; QBA 2000/200, QBA 2010/201; MGMT 3010/249, 3020/251, 3240/224, 4850/358, 4890/389; and MKTG 3110/276.

4. Business Electives: 12 credit hours

  • Select 12 hours of upper-division business courses

5. Non-business Electives: 9 credit hours

  • Electives must include at least 3 hours in a social and behavioral science, and 3 hours in the humanities.

Minor in Business Administration: 24 credit hours

  • Required Courses 21 credit hours: ACCT 2110 and 2111; INSY 1370; QBA 2000; MGMT 3010; MKTG 3110: FIN 2660.
  • Elective Courses 3 credit hours Any 200 or 300 level business application courses

Minor in Entrepreneurship: 24 credit hours

  • Required Courses:  (12 credit hours) MGMT 2520 - Small Business; FIN 3805 - Entrepreneurial Finance; MGMT 4100 - Field Experience in Small Business; MGMT 4505 - Business Plan Development

Minor in Management: 18 credit hours

Required Courses 6 credit hours: INSY 1370; MGMT 3010 Elective Courses 12 credit hours Any four 200 or 300 level management courses.

Minor in Sales or Sales Management (21 hours)

Required Courses for all Majors 9 credit hours:

  • MKTG 3200 - Principles of Sales;
  • MKTG 3790 - Sales Administration & Control;
