Strategic Priorities

The Center for Teaching and Research Excellence (CTRE) was created to provide faculty development opportunities faculty need to pursue their professional goals in teaching, research, and beyond. The CTRE offers a year-round calendar of activities and programming to assist faculty to do what they do best: build knowledge, conduct research, find grant opportunities, and foster community. The Center does this by offering workshops, special events, individual consultations, state-of-the-art meeting and working space, and access to organizations and conferences. The center also holds organizational memberships, which faculty are encouraged to draw upon as resources for their own professional endeavors.

Organization

The Center is managed by a director who reports to the Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs with a coordinated effort to implement faculty development functions (faculty portfolios, student evaluations, mandated training, etc.), however, extensive collaboration is promoted between all areas of the University.
