Outstanding Scholars Awards

The Outstanding Scholars Awards are presented to a freshman, a sophomore, a junior, and a senior who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship. Students selected must have maintained a better than 3.5 grade point average and have been active in the university community.

The Student Achievement Award is presented to students who have shown outstanding dedication to the university and to their fellow students. Students are selected on the basis of performance in all areas of university life. Students must have demonstrated significant achievement while overcoming obstacles, challenges, or barriers or have demonstrated significant achievement with unique personal or professional experience.

Learning Assistants (LAs) are CSU students who work alongside faculty to help facilitate learning in the classroom. They play an essential role in supporting both their peers and course instructors. This award recognizes an LA from the previous calendar year who has gone above and beyond in their LA assignment. LAs for this award are nominated by faculty, and the awardee is decided by the University Honors Committee.
