Chicago State University payroll department strives to provide accurate and timely payment of compensation, tax withholdings for faculty, staff, and student employees. Our goal is to promote and monitor University compliance with all rules and regulations pertaining to State and Federal tax laws. We incorporate all aspects of the State of Illinois Ethics Act in our daily work.

Functions of the Office include:

• Administer the regulations of federal agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service, the Social Security Administration, the U.S. Department of Labor and the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement.
• Sick and Vacation Leave balances
• Lost warrant/stop payment
• Payments to vendors for withholding taxes,voluntary deductions, garnishments
• Voluntary deductions
• W-4
• Preparations of W-2
• Process duplicate W-2
