NEW BENEFIT: 12% Discount on all membership and fitness packages at ChiTown Mecca Fitness, an alumna-and-women-owned fitness center in the nearby Back Of The Yards neighborhood. Proof of CSU degree required, inquire to ChiTown directly. Available to all alumni.
NEW BENEFIT: HBCU/PBI Homebuyer Assistance Program. BMO and NAREB have partnered together to offer homebuyers thousands of dollars in down payment and closing cost assistance for graduates of HBCUs and PBIs (Predominantly Black Institutions). Chicago State University is the only four-year PBI in Illinois. Must work with a NAREB/Realtist agent. Options Program 15% Discount: Alumni receive a generous 15% discount to the robust collection of courses and programs offered through the Options Program. Discount applied when registering. Chicago State Alumni Association (CSAA) membership is required.
Parking Discount: Alumni association members receive a $1 discount on daily parking, and a $40 discount on an annual parking pass, when proof of Chicago State Alumni Association (CSAA) membership is supplied (your new digital membership card or a printed copy of it). For annual parking discount, you must print your new digital membership card and submit with the parking pass application to the CSU Cashier's Office in the Cook Administration Building on campus, Second Floor. Chicago State Alumni Association (CSAA) membership is required.
JDC Multipurpose Fitness Membership: Utilize the CSU multipurpose health facility, indoor/outdoor track, pool, tennis courts, fitness machines, and free weights. Subject to facility availability (pool is currently closed for repairs), and only during normal operating hours. Fitness center hours change each semester but usually operate on a standard Monday through Friday 9-5 schedule, with some occasional limitations based on staff availability. Chicago State Alumni Association (CSAA) membership is required.
Gwendolyn Brooks Library: The Gwendolyn Brooks library is an academic library that provides limited access and services to the public, including alumni. Read more about library policies for alumni here. Available to all alumni, however, current and active members of the Chicago State Alumni Association can opt into borrowing privileges once the Access Services Librarian has confirmed your membership and set up a library user account. Borrowing privileges extend to Gwendolyn Brooks Library materials only; they do not include IShare or Interlibrary Loan requests or off-campus access to subscription databases.

Digital CSAA Membership Cards

card Membership in the Chicago State Alumni Association (CSAA) now comes with a digital membership card, downloadable to your smartphone's Apple or Google wallet. There is also a print option available. During summer 2024, all current members were sent their digital membership card to download via the email address we have on file, and all new membership cards will be emailed in the days after registration. If you did not get your email, check your Spam folder. It's subject line is Your New CSAA Membership Card. If you still cannot find it, contact the CSAA office at alumni@csu.edu.
