Oral History Project

Chicago State Foundation’s Office of Alumni Affairs partnered with Publishing Concepts (also known as PCI) to produce an Alumni Oral History Publication for Chicago State University. This year-long project interviewed nearly 4,000 alumni between June and December 2023, collecting stories and personal experiences from their time at Chicago Teachers College and Chicago State University. The result is this beautiful coffee table book, In My Words, featuing over 600 of those stories including images and historical accounts of time on campus through the years. 

Production of the final product is complete and all orders placed have been shipped directly (as of late June 2024). A digital version of the book will also be avaialble, and we will soon share many stories and quotes on social media.
