As a student at Chicago State University, it is vital that you are aware of important
university policies and procedures. Many of the policies found below are required
for optimal compliance with federal, state, and/or local mandates. Your familiarity
with them is essential as we look to create an overall climate of community and support
that fosters learning and student development.
Pursuant to CFR 668.46, section (b), number 11(v), All Chicago State University Students
are hereby notified that effective immediately: Chicago State University will change
a student, who is a victim of an alleged sex offence, academic and living situations
upon request if those changes are reasonably available. The University will also
inform the student in this instance of available options.
Pursuant to CFR 668.46, section (b), number 11 (vi)A, All Chicago State University
Students are hereby notified that effective immediately: In disciplinary actions
involving students where there is an alleged sex offence the accuser and the accused
may have others of their choice present during the disciplinary proceeding. Such Proceedings
will be held in accordance with the CSU Student Code of Conduct. During the proceeding
both parties may present evidence, produce witnesses and ask questions. The accused
is not required to answer questions but may choose to do so.
Pursuant to CFR 668.46, section (b), number 11 (vi)B, All Chicago State University
Students are hereby notified that effective immediately: In disciplinary actions
involving students where there is an alleged sex offence the accuser and the accused
will be informed of the outcome of any institutional disciplinary proceeding regarding
the alleged sex offense.
Pursuant to CFR 668.46, section (b), number 11(vii), All Chicago State University
Students are hereby notified that effective immediately: Sanctions for disciplinary
actions where there is an alleged criminal offense will be determined in accordance
with the Student Code of Conduct including Suspension and Expulsion.
