Housing and Residence Life Tours 

Interested in touring our Residence Hall? Please review the information below before scheduling your visit. 

At this time, Housing and Residence Life does not offer tours for The Flats or Buckingham Place.  

Scheduling a Tour 

• Tours can be scheduled by emailing housing@csu.edu at least one week before your intended tour date. 

• When requesting a tour, please include:  

• Your full name 

• Preferred tour date 

• Estimated number of people in your party 

• Why you are visiting Chicago State University 

• Any questions you would like our staff to address during your visit 

Providing this information helps us prepare for your experience and ensure your questions are answered. 

Walk-In Tour Requests 

• Walk-in tour requests may be accommodated during the operating hours of the Housing and Residence Life Office Mail Room. 

• To learn our current hours of operation, please email housing@csu.edu. 

• Walk-in tours are subject to staff availability and cannot be guaranteed. 

Important Visitor Information 

• Tours must be conducted by a Housing and Residence Life staff member. 

• Staff, faculty, families, prospective students, and other visitors will not be permitted to enter the residence halls unless:  

• A tour has been scheduled or approved by Housing and Residence Life, and 

• The Housing and Residence Life Office is open and staff are available to conduct the tour. 

What to Expect During Your Tour 

• At this time, our residential facilities are at capacity. 

• As a result, we are unable to show occupied student rooms during tours. 

• Tours may include Residence Hall common areas, amenities, and building spaces to provide an overview of the residential experience. 

Tour Availability 

• Tours are not available on weekends. 

• Tours are available only during the academic year and are not offered during university holidays, campus closures, academic breaks, or the summer months. Housing and Residence Life does not conduct tours during Fall Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, or from May through August. Please contact housing@csu.edu to confirm tour availability before planning your visit.
