Director of Housing and Residence Life
The Director of Housing and Residence Life provides leadership and vision for the
residential experience at Chicago State University. This role oversees all aspects
of housing operations, staff development, student engagement, and community building
within the residence halls. The Director works to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive
environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life

operations of the residence halls. This role helps implement departmental goals, supports
student success, and serves as a key partner in enhancing the residential experience.
Office Support Associate

The Office Support Associate provides essential administrative support for Housing
and Residence Life. This role assists with office operations, resident communications,
and departmental coordination, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions and excellent
customer service for students and families.
Residence Hall Attendant
Ms. Donna Scott
Ms. Donna Scott serves as a Residence Hall Attendant, playing a vital role in creating
a welcoming and supportive environment within the residence halls. She helps monitor
building safety, provides assistance to residents, and ensures the community remains
a comfortable and secure place for students to live and learn.
Graduate Assistant for Programming (GA)
The Graduate Assistant for Programming supports Housing and Residence Life by planning
and coordinating events that foster student engagement and community development.
The GA works closely with student staff to create programs that are educational, inclusive,
and fun, while also helping with training, leadership development, and assessment
of programs. This role ensures residents have meaningful opportunities to connect,
learn, and thrive outside the classroom.

Resident Assistants (RAs)
Resident Assistants are student leaders who live in the residence halls and serve
as a resource, mentor, and guide for their peers. They help build a safe and inclusive
community, enforce university policies, plan engaging programs, and provide support
to residents throughout the academic year. RAs are here to make the residence halls
feel like home and to connect students with campus resources.

Community Desk Assistants (CDAs)
Community Desk Assistants are the first point of contact at the residence hall front
desks. They help create a welcoming environment by greeting residents and guests,
answering questions, monitoring building access, and assisting with administrative
tasks. CDAs play a vital role in maintaining safety and providing customer service
to support the daily operations of the residence halls.
