When can I submit an application? |
Applications can be accepted on a rolling basis year round, however students must
first talk to a faculty mentor to discuss possible research opportunities prior to
submitting an application and required paperwork. |
I’m in the U.S. on a Student Visa can I still apply? |
The program is only open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents |
I’m a full-time pre-professional student does this satisfy the STEM major requirement? |
Only full-time undergraduate STEM students that have aspirations of attending STEM
graduate programs are eligible to become scholars. |
Will I receive a research stipend if I am accepted into the program? |
Yes ILSAMP scholars receive a stipend on a monthly basis for participating in the
program. |
How can I apply for an international research experience? |
International undergraduate research experiences are offered once a year. For additional
information please reach out to LSAMP Coordinator or Program Associate. |
I am working on my second undergraduate degree and majoring in STEM can I apply for
the program? |
The LSAMP program is designed to support primary undergraduate STEM degrees and does
not fund a secondary undergraduate STEM degree, however we strongly encourage you
to visit ourresearch opportunity page(link to page from this question) to apply to other applicable research programs. |
