General Information

Student Art Competition

There are two galleries on the CSU campus:

The President's Gallery is located on the 3rd floor of the Cook Administration Building and is open-to-the public during regular office hours Monday through Friday.

The University Gallery is located on 1F, the west entrance of the Williams Science Center Building; hours vary by the event.

The galleries provide at least four to five yearly exhibitions to advance the appreciation and understanding of the visual arts within the University and the community residing in Chicago and vicinity.

The gallery program is actively dedicated to the education of its audience, displaying work by professional artists with accompanying lectures, demonstrations, workshops and catalogs. The galleries provide our students with the ability to study and enjoy original works of art firsthand, and become acquainted with working artists and their practice and ideas. There is an annual juried student competition in the President's Gallery and regular student and professional exhibitions and events in the University Gallery.

Information about the gallery and other events in Art and Design is posted on the Art and Design Facebook page. Parking on campus is $5.00.
