Dr. Moussa Ayyash, CINSER Director

Dr. Ayyash holds a B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research areas include data communication, wireless networking, visible light communications, network security, Internet of Things, and interference mitigation. He has received funding from the National Science Foundation, Department of Transportation, National Security Agency, and Department of Defense. Ayyash is a Senior Member of IEEE, a member of the IEEE Computer and Communications Societies and a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). 

Dr. Kimberly Black, CINSER Associate Director 

Dr. Black holds degrees in Mathematics and Geography as well as a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science. Her research areas include information society, critical information studies, digital inclusion, educational access, information equity and critical heritage studies. She has received funding for her work from the National Science Foundation, the Institute for Museum and Library Services and the Department of Defense. She is a member of ALISE and ASIS&T.

Mrs. Desiree Montgomery, Lead Project Administrator 

Mrs. Montgomery holds a B.S. in Business and Administration with a minor in Security and Intelligence Studies.  She has over 20 years of experience in management at different organizations including Fortune 500 companies. She has been an independent contractor in real estate, has run a small business and brings years of management expertise to CINSER.

Ms. Sewar Dghaim, Project Administrator

Ms. Dghaim holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and is pursuing her M.Sc. in Computer Science. Her work spans AI, cybersecurity, and embedded systems, with research on GANs for autonomous vehicle threat detection. She has interned at Argonne National Lab and contributed to NSF-funded semiconductor projects. She also holds certifications in cybersecurity, machine learning, and digital marketing and brings strong research, teaching, and technical skills to CINSER. In her current role, she supports project leadership, manages program data, ensures compliance with university and NSF requirements, assists students with hardware projects, and delivers supplemental classes to enhance their learning experience.
