Diverse Scholars in Education Program

Chicago State University is pleased to announce the Diverse Scholars in Education program launch. As part of President Z. Scott’s mission to address equity in educational attainment, the Diverse Scholars in Education program will provide selected students with a full-tuition, year-long scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year. If selected for the program and you choose to participate, the Diverse Scholars Program carries a value of a full-tuition scholarship. This unique program is specifically designed for students who have an interest in joining the powerful careers in education-students like you.

 

 

Diverse Scholars in Education Criteria

  • Receive offer of admissions from CSU Admissions

  • Must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid on File at CSU

  • CPS graduates with an interest in education as a profession

  • Full-time enrollment in Fall 2020

 

Why Diverse Scholars?

  • Full-tuition scholarship for 2020-21

  • Weekly academic advising sessions

  • Dedicated faculty program mentor

  • Summer internship opportunities with CSU faculty and staff

  • Eligibility to transfer to CSU’s Call Me MISTER program, with an additional 3-year full-tuition scholarship, starting Fall 2021

 

Commitment

  • Full-time enrollment in Fall 2020

  • Attend RISE Academy and Diverse Scholars in Education Orientation in Summer 2020

  • Participate in program events throughout the academic year (e.g. alumni panels, campus visits, faculty lunch and learn series)
